Planning your Course (to support any delivery mode)

Whether teaching in-person or fully asynchronous, each class delivery mode will rely to different degree on your Brightspace or digital course environment. Evidence suggests that a learner-centered approach to developing your Brightspace course environment will positively impact on your student’s experience, engagement, and learning. This session will explore a range of topics alongside key Brightspace features you can use to develop your course:

• Constructive alignment

• Digital course syllabus

• Norms of interaction and routine

• Course design and development

• Visual and interactive elements

• Incorporating UDL principles

This session will feature an active component and provide an opportunity for participants to share experiences, insights, and challenges. If format or timing does not suit, consider instead a one-on-one consultation with Paul Maher.
