JumpStart is a series of academic workshops, webinars, and digital resources that provides students an introduction to academic expectations at university.
JumpStart Live is an opportunity for new (or returning) students to meet with our Learning Specialists and focus on the academic challenges that lie ahead. This three-day event includes a series academic workshops, webinars, and digital resources that provides students an introduction to learning at Saint Mary's students.
Previous JumpStart Live sessions have been organized into four asynchronous (pre-recorded) modules, each of which contains a series of workshops for you to complete at your own pace. These modules are available year-round. The four themes are: Being an Online Student, Software and Digital Applications, Getting Started in Academia, and Academic Writing.
