A University Education: What’s the Point? A Faculty & Staff Discussion Workshop

A University Education: What’s the Point? A Faculty & Staff Discussion Workshop

Monday, April 24 | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm | Atrium 216

The purpose of higher education is a question that has interested—and divided—scholars for millennia. While we may never arrive at a satisfactory answer, discussing the question itself can be an instructive exercise for educators.

We invite faculty and staff from all corners of the university to gather with us in this interactive session to reflect on your perspectives on this question.

Dr. Shelagh Crooks (Department of Philosophy)

Dr. Paul Muir (Department of Mathematics and Computing Science)

Jonathan Shaw (The Studio for Teaching and Learning)
