![Dr. Walter Fernandes is a Senior Fellow in Tribal (Indigenous) Studies at the North Eastern Social Research Centre (NESRC) in Assam, India. He is the founder and the first Director of NESRC and the author of numerous studies in the areas of tribal rights, livelihood issues, land rights, climate justice, and peace initiatives.
