Please join us for the first annual Afficio Lecture, a celebration of excellence in undergraduate academic writing. 

We will announce recipients of the 2018 Saint Mary’s University Undergraduate Writing Awards. Allyson Brown, who received a writing award in 2017, will deliver her winning paper, "Food Wars: Impacts of Gender on the Japanese Kitchen."

The Afficio journal publishes the winners of the Saint Mary’s University Undergraduate Academic Writing Awards. Printed copies of Afficio volumes will be available by donation, and proceeds will support Halifax Humanities 101. 

Coffee, tea, and cake will be served after the lecture.
