Presenter:  Stephen Rankin
Monday, August 17 | 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

In this session, Stephen will discuss current concerns with academic integrity when it comes to testing inside of Brightspace, specifically in regards to homework help websites, and sharing of quiz questions and answers during testing. To help mitigate these problems, Stephen will give a rigorous overview of the quiz tool and quiz creation methods to minimize the potential for academic integrity issues. Topics will include the creation of sections inside a quiz to include multiple question pools, quick duplication of quiz questions for multiple setups to provide variation between students, common quiz settings that should be adhered to, as well as accessing the quiz log and IP address log to investigate possible concerns. Finally, Stephen will discuss current technologies to check submitted documents for plagiarism.
