Description:

The ability and willingness of educators to implement critical reflection in their professional practices has been proven to have a substantial impact on enhancing teaching and learning. In this interactive workshop, session participants will be introduced to Brookfield’s (1995, 2017) Four Lenses of Reflective Practice framework. Session facilitators will share their own experiences with this framework in adopting strategies to create a more effective teaching and learning classroom environment. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to apply this framework to their own experiences as educators and they will be encouraged to share their own experiences and aspirations through an interactive discussion activity. The workshop will conclude with a discussion of salient takeaways and plans that participants may have for utilizing this framework moving forward.
