The SMU Writing Centre invites you to join the Graduate Student Check-In, an opportunity for graduate and honors students to discuss their research or ideas, ask questions and connect with other students in a group setting. This event will be facilitated by Dr. Adrian Knapp.

The Writing Room features: 

• Guided conversation regarding research, thinking and writing

• Individual check-ins with graduate writing tutors and research librarians 

• Writing and peer review opportunities

• SMU Writing Centre resources 

For students looking to jumpstart their writing, focus on their research, or sprint to the finish line, the Writing Room is an ideal space to work with accountability, camaraderie, and minimal distraction.  

Feel free to bring your lunch — some snacks, coffee and tea will be provided.
