Academic communication comes in many forms and is not limited to writing. The creation of PowerPoints, Poster presentations and websites are transferable skills that are great to develop throughout your academic career. In this session, you will learn how to understand the use of space, colour, font size and placement to enhance the audience’s experience, and how to incorporate those elements to produce effective and aesthetically pleasing visual communication. Workshop 2: Delivering an Effective Presentation

Thursday, March 16 | 3:00pm | MM 227 and Online via Zoom

Creating an engaging PowerPoint or Poster is one aspect of strong and clear communication. Delivery of that information is the other half of it. In this session, we will look at the way our oral communication and presence can help elevate and complement the information we are presenting. We will discuss body language, voice tonality and volume, as well as the use of language. These elements will work together to help you to clearly deliver and explain the contents of your presentation. Click here to register.
