Faculty members who are already incorporating service learning into their courses at Saint Mary’s will share their advice and experience with anyone interested in getting started.

Course-Based Service Learning (CBSL) is an experiential learning approach which links community-based experience with course content. CBSL involves a range of activities intended to benefit the service provider (the student) and the recipient (the community partner), while maintaining a focus on learning.

The Community of Practice (CoP) approach offers a framework for creating learning communities that engage in sustained conversations focused on enhancing their professional practice.
