Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative

UCC.PNG

This initiative rolls out across the world every year for St Patrick’s Day on the 17th March, when a host of buildings, sites and universities from Sydney to San Francisco turn green to mark Ireland’s National Day. Tourism Ireland’s annual Global Greening has gone from strength to strength achieving over 400 greenings in 53 different countries in previous years. 2021 is the 12th year of the Global Greening and it is with great anticipation we hope the world will join us once again and go Green.

As friends of Education in Ireland we’d love to you join us and get involved. With your support we aim is to bring positivity and hope to students around the world and remind them what a great place Ireland is to study and visit.

Getting involved is easy, all you have to do is arrange for your University, a campus building or an online lecture or event to go ‘Green’. A greening can, but does not have to, involve lights it can be through clothes, hats, virtual backgrounds, paint, hairspray - the only limitation is your imagination and that of your students.
