NEOMA Business School is offering a Winter Program titled “Sport Federations and Major Events Management Programme” in January 2025.
Over the past decade, France has hosted 13 world championships and 13 European championships, including UEFA EURO 2016, the 2018 Ryder Cup, and the 2023 Rugby World Cup. This success continues with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the first Summer Games in France in a century, widely celebrated for their organization, popularity, and sporting achievements.
With major sporting partners, NEOMA Business School has created the Winter Sport Federations and Major Events Management programme, giving participants a solid insight into the French success story of major sports event through courses taught in Paris campus (conferences with sport Federations and leading actors in major international events).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
• DATES: January 6th to January 17th, 2025
• The programme will take place in Paris, France
• FORMAT: Full-time, with mandatory social events organised as extra curricular activities
• LANGUAGE OF STUDIES: English
• TOTAL NUMBER OF ECTS: 9 (roughly equivalent to 3cr at SMU)
• APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Completion of at least one year of undergraduate level business classes.
A certificate is awarded upon completion of the course.

FEES
• PROGRAM FEES: €1,800 (including activities, welcome and closing dinner / excluding lunch, lodging and flight cost).
• TUITION: SMU tuition for the number of approved transfer credit hours.
• Other costs: Not included in this fee are meals, airfare, insurance, transportation in France, daily expenses, and $100 SMU Study abroad admin fee.
Transfer credits:
Students may be able to earn credits to the extent that those credits are applicable to the program requirements of your SMU degree. Please meet with your academic advisor of your program (visit here) to see if any of your remaining degree requirements can be completed at another university. If your advisor confirms that there is room for transfer credits in your degree, you will request approval to take courses for transfer credits by submitting a Letter of Permission Request Form (found here) to the SMU Records Office as soon as your acceptance is confirmed.
If academic credits are earned, students are assessed SMU tuition for the approved transfer credit hours.
Alternatively, if not transferring credits, the student may receive recognition for extra-curricular experiences through the Co-Curricular Record (see here).
Immigration:
Citizens of certain countries are required to apply for a Schengen visa before entering France, while visas are waived for others. Normally, Canadian citizens are not required to obtain a visa for stays of up to 90 days.
