Youth Challenge International’s (YCI) HerStart Innovate the Future program is
advancing gender equality, climate action and economic empowerment on a global scale. With our partners and volunteers, we deliver dynamic training, mentorship and funding for women leaders and social entrepreneurs in Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.
HerStart International Fellows complete 3-month placements that meaningfully contribute to the goals of HerStart. Each Fellow will gain hands-on professional experience, an opportunity to expand their global networks and collaborate closely with our incredible teams in Ghana, Tanzania or Uganda!
3-month Fellowship opportunities include:

· Research & Learning Fellow
· Social Entrepreneurship Fellow
Important Date: The application deadline for the September cohort is June 8, 2026.

This program is funded by the Government of Canada. HerStart International Fellows receive a holistic benefits package including pre-departure training, post-placement support, round-trip airfare, visas, health insurance, a monthly living stipend and much more.
