Peace and Friendship Longhouse Build & Teachings
Join the Tatamagouche Centre on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at their Peace and Friendship gathering. This event is focused on building a longhouse through longhouse teachings with Wabanaki Elders. The weekend will include a ceremony, a sacred circle and widening the circle of Indigenous and settler youth engagement in Indigenous rights and in living as treaty people. Acknowledging the land, and value the gifts and teachings which come to us through our relations with different ages, ancestry, colour, belief, place of origin, and races. The teachings of respect, relationships, responsibility, and reverence will be offered so that the younger generation may continue and strengthen the circle of understanding and caring. Register now!
Farm to Table: A Delightful Meal with Musical Entertainment
On August 27, join the Tatamagouche Centre from 5 PM until 7:30 PM for an evening of delicious local food with local musicians and drinks! Megan Miller, Hospitality and Local Relations, is leading this event. Tickets are $30 (true cost), however, we have pay-what-you-can tickets for those who might face financial barriers. There is also an option for generous ticket purchasing of $40 to support others to attend. Register now!
