The Globalink Research Award (GRA) thematic call is now officially open!

The themes for this year’s thematic call are: 

  1. Digital and Emerging technology (e.g. AI, Advanced Computing, Cybersecurity, Semiconductors) 

  1. Sustainability and Net Zero (e.g. Electric Vehicles, Critical Minerals, Hydrogen, Energy Transition, Oceans, Clean Technology)

An Empowered Youth: Catalyst for Future Global Economic Leadership Perspectives and A Way Forward

This year, Black Business and Professional Network (BBPN Inc.) New Brunswick is organizing this event in collaboration with the Atlantic Canada International Cooperation (ACIC) and the Government of Atlantic Canada (GAC) to empower youth in Atlantic Canada to make a difference in the world.

The event will bring together people in New Brunswick and across Atlantic Canada to learn about global issues, share their ideas and perspectives, and participate in workshops and activities to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact. The focus will be on issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and sustainable development, and how young people can take action to address these challenges.

The event will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions with experts and practitioners in the field of international development -STEM, Entrepreneurship, Human Rights & Advocacy, Mental Health, Arts & Culture, and Media Communications, as well as opportunities for networking and collaboration with like-minded individuals and organizations.

Mitigating, reducing, rethinking: sustainability as a key factor when planning business-related travel

  • Let's all acknowledge the elephant in the room: our field has an impact on the climate crisis, and the largest part of it is due to flying. How can we keep working on the internationalization agenda while prioritizing sustainability? Explore how to pursue internationalization while reducing your travel impact.

CANIE Accord: Turning Promises into Action

  • This interactive session will address key areas of the CANIE Accord including the underlying principles and impact areas. Special attention will be paid to Principle 3: Developing Climate Solutions that Advance Social Justice and Article 5: Emissions Accounting and Reduction.
